Terms of Service

These Terms govern FamilyBeacon™, operated by Spin City DJs Entertainment LLC. By creating an account, ordering a tag or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Adult authorization

You must be at least 18 and legally authorized to provide and manage information for every child profile you create. You are responsible for accurate, current information and for protecting account credentials.

Service description

FamilyBeacon™ provides NFC-linked, web-based emergency contact profiles. Emergency profile hosting is offered without a subscription fee. Physical tags are sold separately. We may maintain, update, suspend or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

Not an emergency or medical service

FamilyBeacon™ does not replace 911, emergency responders, medical identification prescribed by a clinician, supervision, or professional medical advice. NFC and internet access depend on compatible devices, connectivity, an active profile and the actions of third parties. We do not guarantee that a tag will be scanned, that information will be viewed, or that use will prevent injury or loss.

Your responsibilities

You must keep information accurate, use only information you are authorized to disclose, periodically test the public profile, avoid sharing account passwords, and use the service lawfully. You may not probe, disrupt, scrape, impersonate others or attempt unauthorized access.

Orders and payment

Prices are shown before checkout. Clover processes payments and checkout details under its terms. Orders are not accepted until payment is confirmed. Taxes and shipping charges, when applicable, are shown during checkout. Returns, custom-item restrictions and cancellations are governed by our Returns and Shipping Policy.

Intellectual Property

The FamilyBeacon™ name, logos, branding, website content, graphics, documentation, software and code, interface elements, original physical tag designs, and other original materials are owned by Spin City Brands or used with permission. Except where applicable law allows otherwise, these materials may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, sold, reverse engineered, republished, or commercially used without prior written permission from Spin City Brands.

This protection does not claim ownership of general ideas or concepts, standard QR-code or NFC technology, or third-party materials. QR codes used with FamilyBeacon™ function only as links that open the FamilyBeacon website or a website profile.

Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for outages, incompatible devices, incorrect user-supplied information, failure of a person to scan a tag, or decisions made using a profile. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from a physical-tag order will not exceed the amount paid for that order. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using the service and request account closure. We may restrict accounts or profiles involved in fraud, abuse, unlawful content, security threats or violations of these Terms.

Florida law

These Terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.
